Editorial policy
Genuine Screen Culture aims to make its coverage clear, careful and independent. We explain our reasoning, correct meaningful errors and identify material created in partnership.
Accuracy and context
We check factual claims against appropriate sources before publication and take care not to present an interpretation as an established fact. Where context is limited or a point remains uncertain, we say so. Articles are written for general readers and are not a substitute for local instructions or professional advice where those are needed.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial collaborations. Any sponsored article, paid placement or other partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or a particular editorial conclusion.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or missing context, please use the Contact page and select Correction. We review reports and make appropriate changes; significant corrections are noted with the relevant article when suitable.
Images and illustrations
Images are chosen to support the subject and are not presented as documentary evidence unless that is clear from context. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; we identify them where relevant and do not use them to imply that a depicted scene is an actual event.
A screen is never just a screen
Its setting, audience and timing matter. We pay attention to those details, and to the everyday choices that shape what people see.
